InBody Analysis
Welcome to the Future of Your Health:
InBody Analysis
At Concierge Medicine of Buckhead, we are committed to providing you with the most advanced diagnostic tools available. That is why we have integrated InBody Composition Analysis into our practice—a medical-grade technology that goes far beyond the standard scale.
Why Dr. Harrigan Uses InBody for Your Care
- One number does not fit all: You can have a “normal” weight but high levels of visceral fat (the dangerous fat around your organs). InBody identifies this risk before it leads to chronic disease.
- Precision Weight Loss: If you are actively working on weight goals, we use InBody to ensure you are losing body fat, not vital lean muscle.
- Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR): Learn exactly how many calories your body burns at rest, allowing Dr. Harrigan to tailor your nutritional plan with scientific accuracy.
- Tracking Longevity: Maintaining muscle mass is a key indicator of healthy aging. We track your muscle-to-fat ratio over time to keep you mobile and vibrant.
What is InBody?
The InBody is a non-invasive, 45-second test that uses Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) to map your internal health. While a traditional scale only measures your total weight, InBody differentiates between fat, muscle, and water.
Frequently Asked Questions
How often should I be tested?
Every member receives a baseline scan during their Annual Physical. For those focusing on fitness or weight loss goals, Dr. Harrigan may recommend more frequent scans to provide additional data points and track your progress in real-time.
What do the results look like?
You will receive a detailed, easy-to-read printout. We will review your Skeletal Muscle Mass, Percent Body Fat, and Body Water together during your consultation to set actionable health goals.
How should I prepare?
For the most accurate results, it is best to test while fasted (or at least 2 hours after a meal) and hydrated. You will simply stand on the device and hold the hand electrodes. It is quick, painless, and highly accurate.
